The Saturday in August where some of my kids do their thing. Brynne and Brett were the only ones this year but it was an off year for others. Jon and Tyler were up with Steve getting "stuff done" for bow hunting season, Tim was in Seattle climbing Mt. Rainer with Roland Kent, AJ is disable as of now but maybe will do it next year, Spike will get the bug when he returns in 2 years. This was Brett's first time and he did a team with him riding the bike. (He wishes he did it himself and will next year)
Lizzy came with 4 kids but was not able to compete because of new baby and Tim being gone. I watched Cade and tried to take pictures. You have probable noticed I have none of Brett. He only biked and when he passed me was going so fast I only caught the guy behind him! Brynne was a little slower as she is 4 months pregnant.
It is a fun day though and when I am there I think I would love to do it. I would be in the second to oldest age group though. Not funny!! I would float easy even without the wet suit. I would love about half of the bike(the downhill part) and I have never been able to run since my kids got faster than me. It does make me want to get in better shape, however.
Now, the next 2 weeks will be spent getting ready for and working at the ELEPHANT EAR BOOTH. Most of you know what that means in our family. Also we are looking forward to a picnic with the gatten/blount side of the family,and a visit from Cassie and Andrew and the boys. Beckett will be getting blessed. Tell next blog. SEE YA!
