Hayden Idaho Trek

"I am a Pioneer, I can DO hard things"  We so loved the trek.  It has changed lives and helped us realize that we all have hard things in our lives that we can overcome.  

The youth and adults lucky enough to go really learned this lesson........

Jean, Shirley Asper and Terry Brown stayed at the staging camp and divided food to feed the 200 trekkers. Also, brought the 9 leaders their cooking and camping stuff  every morning and night so they would not have to pull a cart.  

          Steve led the trekkers across the barren waste land and water crossing 20 miles!!

The beginning
We knew you would all be interested in "The Trek",  as it has totally consumed Steve and Jean this past 9 months or so, so here is a bit of it. We went to a site owned by the church that is described as "more Wyoming than Wyoming".  It is close to the Columbia river on the Washington and Oregon border.
