Alyssa's Baptism

This was a beautiful day for our family, as Tom took Alyssa by the hand and walked her down into the water to be baptized. It just makes me so grateful for my husband and my family, and for Alyssa! You can read more about Alyssa's big day on our family blog...http://tombrookegattenfamily.blogspot.com. But I just think this photo of Tom and Alyssa is so cute.

Alyssa was lively and happy. After she changed into her white jumper, she went and stuck her feet into the font to see if the water was warm. Apparently, that is a big topic of discussion in the CTR 8 Primary class.

On another subject, today River said, "Mom, I know what I want to be when I grow up" I asked him what.
I want to be a missionary first and then a garbage man, because I love taking out the garbage.
Well, that is just every mother's dream for her son!

Ha, ha, I love that, about the garbage man. I love the things kids say. I wish I had all the cute stuff recorded, so I could replay it when all the ugliness they say comes out when they are teens.

I’m glad that this was such a good day for you. We would have loved to come, but Rick worked until 8:00, and I was just plain wore out from that run…..I’m getting’ old. :)

I wish we could have been there to be a part of Alyssa's baptism. I agree that is a super cute picture of Tom and Alyssa.
I love that River wants to be a garbage man. My brother also wanted to be a garbage man. He for some reason had a change of heart when he got older:)
