We LOVED New York City!!

For all the reasons that my hubby Hates NYC, I loved it....except all the smells....Ha! After leaving DC, Steve, Nate Gatten and all the security at Nate's home, we left for the BIG APPLE. Our plane got in about 9:30pm and then it was off to find the shuttle man...who informed us that the trains were NOT running that far out because of track repairs. Shock! He did take us farther down track though for twice the fair and dropped us at a platform. One young man was there playing his DS, and a snack trailer with a kind of scarey looking dude. Daniel the kid was nice and told us that the story was right about the tracks and we were indeed in the right place for NYC. The train came and as we got closer to the rain started...terrential rain....like GiAnT drops. At Penn station we hailed a taxi (in the terrential downpour),who did not speak english and wanted only to know the address...after which he went 5 extra blocks to our hotel.

Got to our room where there was just enough space to walk around the bed and settled in at 2am.
